Privacy policy

We collect and process personal data only when it is relevant to your interaction with Marmalade Co. and in accordance with applicable data-protection law. We retain personal data only for as long as required by law or needed for the purpose for which it was collected.

Information we collect

When you visit our website, contact us, subscribe to our newsletter or place an order, we may process information such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, order details, IP address and other technical information needed to operate and protect the store.

Full card details are submitted directly to the payment provider shown at checkout. Marmalade Co. does not receive or store your full card number or card security code. The payment provider sends us the transaction status, transaction identifier and the information needed to confirm and support your order.

Why we process your data

We process contact, order and delivery information to fulfil your purchase, send order and delivery confirmations, provide customer service, handle returns or complaints, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.

If you consent to receive our newsletter, we use your email address for that purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter.

If you do not provide the information required to fulfil an order, we may be unable to complete your purchase.

The data controller is Skønheden i det simple ApS, operating under the registered secondary name Marmalade Co. ApS and the Marmalade Co. brand, CVR 44150875, Nørrebrogade 106, 2200 Copenhagen N, Denmark. You can contact us at contact@marmaladeco.com.

Service providers and international transfers

We do not sell your personal data. We use external hosting, commerce, payment, delivery, communications and analytics providers that process personal data only as needed to provide their services and under applicable data-processing terms.

Some service providers may process data outside your country. Where required, such transfers are protected by applicable data-protection safeguards.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent and lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority.

Analytics, advertising and session replay
Optional tracking is blocked by default. If you accept in our cookie banner, we use Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland), Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads directly from your browser, TikTok Pixel and PostHog to measure visits, product views, add-to-cart activity, checkout and post-purchase offer usage, and to measure and personalise advertising on Meta, Google and TikTok. PostHog may record a masked replay of the session; all text, input fields and element attributes are masked. We do not use these services if you reject.

Data sent from our servers
If you accept, our servers also send visit and purchase events directly to Meta (Conversions API) and TikTok (Events API) with your IP address, browser (user agent), ad click ids and a pseudonymous visitor id, which is the same id PostHog uses. For purchases, Meta also receives your e-mail address, phone number, name, city, region, postcode and country, and TikTok your e-mail address and phone number; these details are hashed before they are sent. Your e-mail address, phone number, name and address are also shared with Google to measure conversions (enhanced conversions).

Newsletter and order e-mails (Drip)
Drip (Drip Global, Inc., USA) is the platform we send our newsletter and your order e-mails from. If you accept in our cookie banner, we also load Drip's tag in your browser; it sets its own cookies on this site and links your product views to your e-mail address once you have given it to us — in the newsletter form or at checkout. Whatever you answer in the banner, our servers send your cart, checkout and order details to Drip: your e-mail address, name, order lines, amounts and order status. That happens because it is how we can e-mail you about the purchase itself; we only send marketing if you have explicitly opted in.

Storage and withdrawal
Your choice is stored in a cookie for 395 days. Ad click ids from Meta and TikTok links are stored for 90 and 30 days respectively. You can withdraw your consent at any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of the page; tracking then stops and its cookies are removed from this site.

Referral measurement with HeyLink/Ønskeskyen

Only after your consent do we keep the click ID (hltid) and offer ID (hlofid) from Ønskeskyen/GoWish in a server-set first-party cookie and on your cart. The cookie expires six hours after the click. For a purchase within this window, we send the click ID, offer ID, order number, currency, merchandise amount excluding VAT and shipping, and product variants, quantities and net prices to HeyLink to measure the referral. This call does not include your name, email or address. You can withdraw consent at any time through Cookie settings; this removes the click cookie and referral on your open cart.

Google Maps address suggestions

When you type in the checkout address field, the entered address text and selected country are sent to Google Maps Platform to show address suggestions and complete the delivery address. Google processes this information according to the Google Privacy Policy.
